Nashville has definitely been through the wringer the last several weeks. Flood waters have been going back but the damage will remain for a while and cleanup is an ongoing process. But despite all that has happened the Music City BBQ Festival is going to happen August 26-28th and that is a great thing. All of you barbecue fans need to make an effort to visit Nashville and attend this great event and at the same time help the city of Nashville in their recover efforts by infusing the economy with your dollars. And what better way to do help than by enjoying some great barbecue.
Here is some info lifted from the FAQ page at MusicCityBBQFestival.com

I went last year (first one) and had a great time. There are plenty of vendors selling the wares, but the real key is to walk around a talk to the cook teams. Last year we talked to people from Texas ( we’re from Houston) Oklahoma, Kansas City, all over! The cook teams can not give you anything before being judged, but after judging they have more food than they know what to do with! Why pay $6.00 for a burger when you can sample what the judges eat!
