BBQHub.com & BBQ-Festivals.com For Sale – Possibly

This blog and it’s sister site www.bbq-festivals.com have provided me with a lot of fun over the past couple of years.  I enjoy barbecue very very much and have made a lot of great friends from the barbecue world and am making more every day.  But now these two websites have moved beyone “hobby” sites to an almost full time endevour.

Combined traffic this year is tracking toward well over 1,000,000 million hits and will probably have close to 90,000 unique visitors in 2009 (based on current traffic tracking and last years number of 75,000 unique visitors).

Each day I get emails from around the country about new products, festivals, competitions and other barbecue information. I love it!!!  But I get so many now that sometimes I forget to add the product or site to my site or forget to respond with a thank you.

So now I am faced with a decision of what to do.  Do I try to continue to maintain the site and monitize it or do I let it go to someone who has the time and resources to take these sites to the next level and who thoroughly enjoys the world of barbecue.

I have been contacted by several people lately about placing banner ads on the site which I promise to respond to asap as well as an increased number of product reviews (Riley’s Grillin’ Sauce I haven’t forgotten about you….finally have a break in the rain here in western KY and plan to use your sauce this week).

Then comes the question what are the sites value… For their primary search terms both sites are at the top of Google, Yahoo and the other search engines.  BBQ-Festivals.com has become well known and branding efforts are starting to payoff.  I have often wondered about seeking sponsorship and getting a bus painted in BBQ colors and touring the country while writing and highlighting all aspects of the barbecue world from festivals and competitoins, to product manufacturing to just showing up at someones backyard bbq and writing about them and sharing them with the rest of the country.

So, that is where I am at.  If you think you might like to take over these two sites and take them to the next level I would be interested to hear from you. Serious discussions only please………  there is a value here and I won’t let them go for a hundres bucks. (I really was offered that a couple weeks ago then the potential buyer copped an attitude when I turned him down).
