Can you say Road Trip?? That is what we did. Two great friends, Ron from California and Cecil from Kentucky, and I went on a 545 mile round trip to eat barbecue at Jim Neely’s Interstate Barbecue. Was it worth it? In the words of Sarah Palin; you betcha!!!!
Cecil and Ron had Sampler Platters while I had Beef Ribs and Beef Tips. The meal was outstanding and I couldn’t be happier. I was in barbecue heaven. With sauce all over my fingers and face I felt I had reached barbecue nirvana. At the table next to us was a couple who had come to Memphis from Maryland for a wedding. Their first stop after getting off the plane was Internstate Barbecue. They stopped there before going to their original destination.
