I live in South Carolina where mustard based barbeque is the favorite. I, however, prefer the vinegar based sauce and the red sauces that have a sweet but spicy kick to it. I have eaten Texas barbeque a few times, and I find it to be very tasty. I could go either way...pork...beef.....does not matter to me as long as I get my belly full! :o)

Obviously a lot of it depends what you grew up eating, but I would rather have pork BBQ over beef any day.

Well if you think That was good, you ought to be in TEXAS. I actually lived in Alabama for a short time and was very disappointed with all the BBQ I ate. I went in to a BBQ place and as I would in TEXAS, asked for a sliced brisket sandwich and the guy looked at me as if I were ignorant. All he had was "pulled pork" and needless to say, it was not nearly as tasteful as the briskets we make here in TEXAS. I guess the financial status of Alabama allows them only hog meat where as in TEXAS we have it all, Yes even the best BBQ in the world. So, if you are ever in TEXAS be sure to eat out BBQ and I gaurantee you that will be what you crave from now on. NO ONE knows BBQ like the greatest state in the union, TEXAS!!!!!!!!
